compressor: reduces the sound level at a designated input level by a certain amount(ratio)
limiter: same as a compressor except it totally switches off the sound passed the designated input level
expande: reduces the sound level by a certain amount until a designated input level, to which the sound level is normal
gate: stops any sound coming through till reach a certain input level

This script is a bit frighting. It's main topic is how glutoneous people are. I think the competition is absolutely useless and really undignifying. I just cant see why anyone would do this on a competitive level.

This scrit really doesn't do it for me. I can justpicture a load of fat people behind mountains of food. there's just no point to it all. I find it really desolating to see people put themselves through these thing. The stuff people come up with sometimes seems unexplainable to me!!

I would imagin this script base in East London, in the same style as "Lock stock".
Liam(or Rudolf), an old cigar smoking mob head, is the head of a feared gang of thieves. Rob from the rich to give to the poor morale.
He recieves three new recruites who owe Rudolf for a preveous muck-up which they can't get back to him. So Rudolf basically owns them so they have to get involved into the gang to payback their dept.

At the start, the point of view is from Liam. he dominates the conversation and seems to be an athoritarian character. He's engaging to the group and tries to motivate them. I would changee this and make Rudlf have a go at them for the trouble they've caused. To make the groupof arrivals feel scared and attentive. So the deal the three must become thieve to work for Rudolf and look ridiculeous in a Santa suit.
I think the last scene should be the three Santas running away from the police.

Bogdan the romanian imigrant is stuck in England wants to go home but his application at the government building is refused. The pase of the script is interesting because every scene brings you something new to the puzzle:
1 the cars, whizzing past shows others freedom. methaphore of people going as they please
2 Bogdan needs a legall aid for something
3 Bogdan is romanian
4 Bogdan is still quite attached to his native culture
5 he's poor, doesn't really fit in, different interests
6 he applies for his return
7 he gets his letter
8 he gets his answer
9 Bogdan is free
10 but no he's not. the hitchhike is the last resort he has

The story reveas itself each scene at atime. Like Quentin Tarentino films do.
Only one point of view, that of Bogdan.

The selfish cut

This is like a modern urban comedy. Sam , avain teenager, enters tinto a barbers looking very confident and comes out feeling embaressed. Usually when you come out of the barbers you fell good about your self. Some people take their grooming much to sereously nowadays. I think Sasha Baren Cohen's Ali G would fit the character of Sam in the way he can act young and ignorant.

At the start you care for the barber because he's going to have to serve an unusually agitated customer. Numerous distractions and Sam's slightly obnoxious attitude give the atmosphere to the script. But the barber gets his own by pulling sam's leg. The grey hair and the bald patch hit Sam ego. The funny thing iswhy is sam trying to be so fly to the barber? Sam has a little jab at the barber for being old fashioned and that his shop's in the wrong neighbourhood. But the barber comes back at him and make a fool of Sam.

This dark satyre was quite engaging. At the start,when the harlequin come on stage, you automatically ask yourself wether he's going to be funnyor not and then his performance reveals the quality of his show: an obveous failure.
So the expected laughing becomes cringing. What is funny is thathe's maming a fool of himself. The heckler from the cround doesn't really help by telling the harlequin to make the audence laugh and on top of that the compere seems pretty nerveous about the atmosphere of the evening and tries to save the night bythrowing in a few of his own lame jokes.
The third scene back in the dressing room in the consequence of the cause.

The first scene sets the main character, what he does and makes us care for his success.
At the start of the second scene you care for the audience because they are expected to experience a comedy show which makes you laugh but it doesn't. And then the pity goes to the comedien as his performence shows.
As the harlequin digs his whole deeper and deeper, you can feel the host panic and then he puts his foot in it by tryingout his own humour onthe crowd. At the end you feel bad for the harlequin for getting the sack from the compere.

Most of the interest is on the harlequin because you want him to be funny but he isn't and every time you don't laugh at one joke, you hope for the next to let you enjoy a good joke. this creates a rythm of increasing tention.
At the end you show a bit of simpathy for the compere for being so furieous that his show and the night is ruined by an unskilled comedien which he won't pay.
But as the show reveals itself the point of view is of the audience's.
